Went to “Germany Beer Festival” in Zhangjiang last night and had some fun. (many thanks to Ja)
Oktoberfest!
I wasn’t expecting outdoor fun at all, after so many rainy days in a row…so, even though seeing so many people sitting in a big room on long benches each holding up a big beer mug from time to time while shouting weird unknown possibly German cheering words only reminded me of scenes of antewar money raising in Gone with the wind, it took me no time to join and be one of them.
Just, bring on the beer, the Bavarian dance, the loud music, the pretty women, the buffet and dessert…!!!
Just, don’t add water in the beer, put it in SteinLager glasses, then have some German player tell me “uh…no. Chinese beer”. isn’t it ironic…
and I know I’ll never have the lottery luck.
anyway, haven’t drunk so much beer since graduation parties, and I was even conscious enough to take a cab home without forgetting my umbrella…
Still I miss the summer days, sitting by the lake having beer and barbeque, when we were so young and never worried about getting up early for work the very next day…
